The Unconventional Feasting of Hotel Housekeeper!
Maria worked as a housekeeper at a busy hotel near the heart of the city. As she walked from room to room, cleaning and tidying each one to the exact specifications of her supervisors, she couldn't help but look around to see if anyone was watching. After all, if nobody was, she could easily enjoy a snack or two that the hotel guests had left behind in the room after checking out.
Sure enough, a bitten off biscuit here, the unfinished snack bar there – Maria made a beeline for any edible goodies left behind, delighting in the small guilty pleasure she could indulge in, at least until the next shift when someone else would need to come along and tidy up.
Today was no different, and when Maria spotted the last untouched cupcake in one of the rooms, she took a deep breath, looked around, and quickly snatched it up, hiding it inside the towel that she was carrying so she could tuck into it once she'd finished with the room. As soon as the job was done, she snuck out of the door and into the hotel's back courtyard, where she sat on a bench in the sunshine and devoured the sweet treat in no time at all.
As she took the last bite of the cupcake, she could have sworn she heard a voice nearby, asking if anyone if they seen the housekeeper that cleaned room 202 and wanted to know what happened to the dessert. Blushing at the thought of being caught out, Maria quickly wrapped up her evidence and made her way to the back entrance stairwell and continue her day – all the while with the slight but delightful memory of enjoying the small bit of something that the guests had left behind.
