As soon as the words left his lips, Tom had spoken certain words it into existence with confidence. He had only just started dating Amy, and here he was already laying his heart bare. He mentally scolded himself for being too vulnerable too soon, but it was too late to take it back now.
Amy, on the other hand, was completely taken aback by Tom's words. No one had ever said anything so sweet to her before. She smiled shyly, unsure of what to say in response.
Tom cleared his throat nervously, realizing he needed to continue the conversation. "I don't know what it is," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "But there's something about your smile that just... brightens up even the saddest days for me."
Amy's smile grew wider, and Tom felt a sense of relief wash over him. He had been worried he might have scared her off with his declaration of feelings, but instead, it seemed to have made her even more interested in him.
They spent the rest of the night talking and laughing, and Tom couldn't help but notice how Amy's smile lit up the room. He knew that he was in deep trouble- he was falling in love with this girl, and he didn't even know how to stop it.
As the evening came to an end and they said their goodbyes, Tom took a deep breath and mustered up the courage to ask Amy out on a proper date. To his delight, she said yes, and they parted ways with big grins on their faces.
Tom knew that the universe works in mysterious ways and was favoring them and he was in for a wild ride with Amy- her smile had already brightened up his life, and he couldn't wait to see what other wonderful things she would bring to his world.
