"Building My Dream Home, Without Her"

Porch sitting area- "Building My Dream Home, Without Her"

Terrence had always known that his relationship with Molly was on shaky ground.

They argued constantly and couldn't seem to agree on anything anymore. Eventually, things reached a boiling point and they both decided it was time to end things.

Terrence knew it coming. He had no idea where he was going to go or what he was going to do. He had been living with Molly for a while and let his guard down and didn’t have a back up plan for when this day came. He stayed with a couple friends and relatives and some days he would wandered the streets thinking for hours, until one day he stumbled upon an old house that looked like it had been abandoned for years. He called the number that number that was listed.

The owner of the house met him there the next day.

The house was in desperate need of repairs considering it hadn’t been used in a while, but Terrence saw something in it that nobody else could. He knew that he could fix it up and turn it into something special. He decided then and there that this was where he was going to live.

Over the next few weeks, Terrence closed the deal on the house. The next day Terrence started working tirelessly on the house. He painted walls, replaced windows, and fixed plumbing. Slowly but surely, the house began to come together. And with each passing day, Terrence felt like he was getting back on his feet.

It wasn't until one day, when he was out in the yard pulling weeds, A group of children walking down the street towards the school around the corner that’s when he came up with an idea.

He watched them with interest, wondering if Molly would let kids come stay with him cause theirs a school night around the corner from his house.

Phone ringing

Molly: How can help Terrence

Terrence: What’s up, Molly I’m calling you to talk to my kids.

Molly: Yes, after they do their homework?

Terrence: Okay, they have a school around the corner from my house. I would like from them to go there.

Molly: I don’t know that. Who’s going to help them with their homework? And what house?

Terrence: Really, what you mean what house? My house Molly let’s not forget.

Molly: Forget what

Terrence: I was the one doing everything when we together. I went to work came home and cooked dinner then cleaned the house plus helped with homework in that order and all you did wash and fold clothes.

Molly: That’s what you post to do.

Terrence: No team work. Cheater. My eyes are open now and I have the strength to get from under your spell.

Molly: Spell you wish. For as the cheating you have no proof.

Terrence: First, you telling me that you don’t want to be in relationship no more and I have to leave on a certain date. Second, that certain date you wanting me to get out is so that you can go out of town to a casino resort by “yourself”. Come On Man!

Molly: That’s not why you called me. Let’s stick to the script.

Terrence: Yeah, let me stick to the script cause I could go on for days.

Molly: Whatever!

Terrence didn't know how he would feel about seeing Molly again. He knew he wasn't ready to talk to Molly face to face, but he also couldn't help but feel angry whenever he thought about how things had ended between them.

As the days went by, Terrence found himself growing increasingly fond of the neighborhood around him. He started taking long walks around the area and chatting with his new neighbors. He began to feel the weight lift off his shoulders, and the thought of Molly letting the kids go to school nearby was the best thing that could have ever happened.

Eventually, Terrence came to realize that he had stumbled upon something truly special - a new beginning. The house had been a symbol of hope and opportunity, and he had managed to turn it into something beautiful. And as he sat on his porch, watching his kids walk with the other children out the neighborhood to school in the morning, he knew that everything was going to be alright.
