Time For Action
Roy took a deep breath as he entered the workplace the next morning, he was determined to renew his confidence. When he spotted Shannon by the coffee machine, he knew it was now or never.
With his heart pounding, Roy approached her. For once, he didn't freeze. He looked directly into Shannon's brown eyes and, in a clear voice, declared, "I WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW THAT I WANT YOU."
Without waiting for a response, Roy turned and slowly walked away, looking back out the corner of his eye to catch a glimpse of her reaction.
Then Shannon's burst out. "OH REALLY?" With a big smile on her face.
Roy kept walking. He'd done it. He'd finally gotten over the freezing up whenever he talks to Shannon. But what would happen next? He got a response out of Shannon and it seemed positive, but where would this bold move lead them?
As Roy began his day his thoughts were a whirlwind of excitement, nerves, and anticipation. This was only the beginning of their story, and he couldn't wait to see how it would unfold.
