Never Seen It Coming

Ronnie couldn't believe his luck when Ebony agreed to go out with him. She was way out of his league compared to the past women he dated. Ronnie was with mesmerized by her eyes, silky hair, and killer curves. He took her to one of the fanciest Italian restaurant in the city, hoping to win her over.

Over bread sticks and wine, Ebony laughed at his jokes and eyeing him in a flirtatious way. Ronnie felt he was on top of his game. After dinner, he invited her back to his place for a nightcap.

"I'd love to," Ebony said, running a finger down his arm.

Back at his apartment, Ronnie poured them each a shot of tequila. They sipped and Listened to some smooth jazz played on the stereo. One drink turned into three, then four.

Ebony noticed Ronnie's speech starting to slur and his eyes slightly opened. She knew right there that he was a lightweight when it came to alcohol. Before you know it he’s passed out cold on the sofa, snoring loudly.

Ebony shaking her head, then she go in his pocket and get his wallet. Helping herself to $300 in cash. Then she took his truck keys off the counter.

"Thanks for dinner and drinks, Mr. Nice Guy," she mumbled walking out of his apartment.

Twenty minutes later, Ebony pulled into the Riverview Casino parking lot, with a grin on her face. She had a pocket full of money to blow and Ronnie's pickup truck if she needed to make a quick getaway. This was shaping up to be her kind of night.

Three hours later, Ebony returned to Ronnie's place and carefully parked his truck in the driveway. She tiptoed into the apartment and found Ronnie still passed out, snoring like a chainsaw. Smirking, she left the same way she came in quietly.

The next morning, Ronnie woke up with his mouth dry like cotton with a pounding headache. He was walking to the kitchen and glanced out the window and noticed that his truck was parked a certain way - backed in, one thing he never did.

With Suspicion, Ronnie called up his buddy Marcus. "Hey man, you remember the woman I was telling you i taking out to eat or whatever. Well I think ol' girl took my truck last night," he said, with his hand rubbing his head.

"What? How do you figure that?" Marcus asked. "Where were you?"

Ronnie sighed. "All I know we were drinking and I passed out. When I woke up and looked around and didn’t see her so I figured she was gone, but my truck was parked all wrong. I'm telling you, she did something while I was passed out."

"Damn, bro," Marcus said. "You sure know how to pick 'em."

Ronnie shook his head ruefully, wondering what other surprises Ebony had in store for him. This girl was trouble, no doubt about it. But part of him couldn't help being intrigued. What would she do next?
