The Washing Machine Disaster Story
Summer stuffed her entire week's laundry in at once, completely ignoring what her mother told her about overloading. She sat on top of the washing machine trying to quieting it down a notch from its violent shaking.
"This thing got my body vibrating," she mumbled, pressing down with a tight grip to keep from moving.
Marcus walked into the laundry room carrying his own basket, stopping short at the sight of Summer performing the reverse rodeo act on top of the washing machine.
"Whoa! Na! That's quite the balancing act you've got going there," he laughed, setting down his basket.
"Very funny," Summer rolled her eyes. "At least it last longer."
“Not if you put it on quick wash”. I’ll have your cowgirl ass Harlem shaking. Marcus responded.
Marcus set his basket down, moving closer. "Need a hand my lady?"
"My handsome knight in shining armor," Summer joked, with a smile.
He reached up, their hands touching as he helped stabilize her. She unzipped his pants while their eyes locked.
Summer gasped. "I'm all wet!"
"I, uh—" Marcus started.
The machine suddenly lurched into its drain cycle with a thunderous groan, making Summer lunge at him. Marcus caught her making him stumble back slamming his back into the door to maintain his balance, and suddenly they were inches apart.
They leaned in for a kiss, the moment sweeping them away until—
"Summer? WHAT'S THAT NOISE?" her mother shouting from the hallway.
"MARCUS? YOU BETTER NOT BE BREAKING THE WASHING MACHINE!" his father yelled from hallway.
They quickly jumped apart. Marcus looked down in confusion. "Wait, why are we both wet?" as they noticed the growing puddle beneath their feet.
They backed away from each other, standing in an overflowing lake of soapy water that was quickly spreading across the floor.
"My parents are going to kill me," staring in despair at the overflowing washing machine.
Summer's mom starts knocking on the laundry room door, and you can hear Marcus's dad beside her.
"Not again," the parents sighed at the same time, reaching for the mops and towels.
Marcus and Summer exchanged one more kiss before opening the door. They had to put their soap suds romance on hold because—they had a flood to contain and some explaining to do.
