A Weekend Getaway

Woman looks out hotel window while man laying in bed

Tracy leaned against the hotel window, city lights dancing across her face as dusk settled over the skyline. Six months together with Alvin had passed like a blur - from awkward first date that a coffee spills would turn into an inside jokes only they understood.

"I still can't believe we got this view," she said, turning toward Alvin who was laid across the king-sized bed, looking back at Tracy.

"Only the best for our first getaway," he replied with that smile that still made her stomach flutter.

Their weekend had been perfect so far - moving through the city by day, sharing quiet moments by night. They'd discovered a hole-in-the-wall jazz club, danced until their feet ached, and talked for hours over late-night room service.

On their second night, Tracy woke to find Alvin watching her sleep.

"Creepy?" she said, voice thick with sleep.

"Just thinking how lucky I am," he whispered, brushing hair from her face. "I've never felt this connected to anyone before."

Tracy pulled him close, their foreheads touching. "Me neither. It's like you understand me."

Under the warm hotel sheets, they shared  gentle touches, their connection deepening beyond the physical into something neither had expected to find.

Morning found them tangled together, the city awakening beyond their window, both knowing their relationship had transformed into something they never imagined before during their weekend getaway.
