Trash-Dr. Strangetrash, A Neighboring Story

Have you ever seen a piece of trash dance in the wind? Oh, check this out you'd be amazed! This isn't just any dance. It's a two step dance between the stubborn trash and the relentless wind. It's like Mother Nature and discarded loose pieces of paper deciding to shake things up on a quiet suburban street. But that's not all, dear readers! In today's short story, a comedic spin occurs that adds a twist to our garbage.

One fine, sunny day, my neighborhood received a surprise visitor - some loose pieces of trash whirling in the wind and landing in my next door neighbor well kept yard.

As the loose pieces of trash landed directly beside my neighbor trash can, the little loose trash attracted a pair of watchful eyes. These eyes belonged to the salt-and-pepper hair and always miserable old Mr. Ferguson. Curiosity provoked, Mr. Ferguson stood up from his comfortable chair on his porch and decided to get up close and personal with our trashy traveler.

You'd think he would pick it up, and put it in the trash can that’s in front of him, right? Well, that’s not the case. Now tell me if this is crazy. Ok, To everyone’s surprise, Mr. Ferguson picked up the trash didn’t put it in the trash can that was in front him but instead he walked to the street and placed the loose piece of trash in the middle of the street, placing it there like he was sending a message? Who knows?

People who were already outside laughed and some just shook their heads as Mr. Ferguson laid the trash right smack dab in the middle of the road before turning around and walking back towards his house to sit on his porch.

The hilarity of it all isn't lost on the rest of us. We witnessed the silent exchange between our usually all the above Mr. Ferguson and this rogue piece of rubbish, played out on a wind-kissed morning, that reminded us - you never know where your litter may end up, so let's avoid littering, and putting your trash in the trash can, shall we?

The funny story of Mr. Ferguson and the bold little piece of trash have left us not just laughing, but it’s also a lesson. A comic and quite a reminder of how we should be conscious of our actions when it comes to disposing of our waste correctly.

Until next time, remember - like Mr. Ferguson's rebellious street centerpiece, you never know who might be watching when we carelessly dispose of our waste, so let’s make it a habit to keep our neighborhood and planet clean. Now isn't that a trash tale with a twist?
