Brad was having a good evening at the One Stop Truck Stop Casino. After winning a few dollars at the slot machine he decided to walk over to the restaurant to get a bite to eat before getting back on the road. The waitress took his order and returned with his soda. While sitting waiting for his food he over hears the young couples conversation from the next table.

A young couple sat across from each other at their table, the man looking like he was frustrated or a bad stomach ache. Brad couldn't help but overhear them talking.
Andy: "I've brought you here today because I have something important to tell you.
Cassondra: "Well, start talking before the food gets cold."
Andy: (taking a deep breath). "We've been together for two years now..."
Cassondra: "One year and five months”
Andy: "Yeah, that," "but seriously for the last couple of weeks, I've been thinking about it. You're the person that I want to spend the rest of my life with."
Brad oh he trying to be romantic by proposing to his girlfriend in a truck stop diner. Brad saying to himself.
Cassondra: "Andy... Really
Andy: "Let me speak, Cassondra, please. I know we've had our ups and downs. I know I don’t have the big house and the fancy cars. But I love you and I also know your parents don't like me ." But…..
Cassondra: “Yes, about my parents..."
Cassondra tried again, but Andy continued on.
Andy: "Oh well, Cassondra, they're just going to have to understand what's going on."
Brad leaned in closer, so he can hear them better.
Cassondra: "Really, Andy?"
Andy: I’m on my knees begging you "Please, baby, please..."
Cassondra’s hand over her mouth eyes wide. Brad at his table holding his breath, waiting to see what she says.
Cassondra: "Andy..." "I'm your sister."
Brad choked on his soda, spitting it out the tabletop. Sister? Oh hell no. I know damn well this guy is not try to marry his own sister? Then we are at a truck stop.
As Brad coughing trying to make sense of what he heard, the bizarre couple gathered their things and started making their way towards the exit, leaving him to wonder what kind of family they were going on at their house ponder the mysteries of family relationships in this crazy world.
Some things, are not to be said better yet not said at all in public. Brad saying to himself.
