Distance Makes the Heart Grow Cold

Jackson and Trinity had been in love since the moment they met. They had been dating for several years and had a bond that was stronger than anything else. They enjoyed going out on dates together and had a compatibility that was the jealousy of all their friends.

But one day, Trinity accepted a job offer out of state, while Jackson was still in trade school. Jackson was supportive of Trinity’s career but was also devastated that they would have to endure a long-distance relationship. The thought of not seeing Trinity every day was heart-wrenching for him.

As time went on, Trinity started to distance herself from Jackson. He noticed that she was always busy and would hardly make time for him anymore. Little did he know that she was dating another man and had kept it a secret from him.

On the other hand, Jackson had been living with another woman. They had become friends, and he found solace in her companionship while Trinity was away. But Jackson was too scared to tell Trinity about it, fearing that she would end their relationship.

Years passed, and Trinity married the man she was dating, and Jackson had two kids with the woman he had been living with. Jackson often thought about what could have been if they had been more honest with each other. But he knew that they had both made their choices and had moved on.

Jackson and Trinity still kept in touch but never talked about the past. They both knew that they were better off with the decisions they had made. Even though they never got their happy ending together, they still cherished the memories they shared, and the love they once had.
