The night was quiet and still, the only sounds were the soft whispers of the leaves outside the window. The moon shined brightly casting shadows on the floor. He looked over at her, lying there beside him, her skin shining in the silver light.
The air was thick with tension as they lay there, listening for any sounds of the kids. They had been waiting for this moment for weeks, wanting to spend some intimate time together but their kids had been running and playing throughout the house and they didn't want to risk disturbing them.
Slowly, he leaned in and kissed her, softly at first but with more intensity as their passion grew. They kept their breathing shallow and their movements minimal, careful not to make any sound.
As they lay there together, they knew that their time was limited. They couldn't afford to linger, not with the kids just in the other room. But even so, they cherished every moment they had, each touch and kiss deepening their connection.
And then it was over. The moon began to fade as dawn approached, and they knew they had to sneak back to their own bed before the kids woke up. But as they got up and silently made their way out of the room, they knew that they had shared a special moment together, a moment that would stay with them forever.
