Brad choked on his soda, spraying the tabletop with a fine mist of orange soda. Sister? This guy was proposing to his own sister? At a cheesy truck stop diner?

Brad continued coughing trying to clear his throat, an elderly lady at the checkout counter overheard the commotion. "You got to be kidding me young man!" she said, turning toward Andy and Cassondra. "I know damn well he didn't just say that! How sick! Where the hell y'all from?"
Brad, still wheezing, gave the old woman an appreciative nod for backing him up. Who in their right mind marries their own sister?
Other diners started to take notice of the spectacle, turning in their seats to get a better look. Cassondra's face was turns red as she help Andy up off his knees and grab his arm.
"Oh, it's not what you think!" she said hurriedly as they gathered their things. "We're in theater, and this was just a scene topic!"
An uncomfortable silence fell over the diner as the bizarre couple made their exit. Brad locked eyes with the old woman, who shrugged and shook her head in acknowledgment.
"Theater kids," Brad replied, taking another gulp of his soda. Some folks just had to make a scene everywhere they go.
The other in the diner slowly turned back to their meals, the awkward moment beginning to fade away. But Brad knew one thing for sure - he'd wasn’t going to be stopping at any truck stop diners for a while. Because it was enough drama at The One Stop Truck Stop to start a mini series television show.
