"Desperate Exit Strategy"

Time clock jump out the window- "Desperate Exit Strategy"

It was just supposed to be a quickie, fun in between the sheets. A secret between two consenting adults. Steven arrived at her apartment, greeted by her beautiful smile and the promise of a passionate night.

Things heated up quickly, and soon they were tangled in the sheets. It was in the midst of their steamy session she says “Right There Don’t Stop That’s My Spot Don’t You Stop” in the midst of that they heard keys jingling and then deadbolt unlocking. Panic set in as they realized her boyfriend had come home from work early.

Without missing a beat, she whispered to Steven to hide in the closet. Steven looks at her and says “How are you so calm right now….you done this before”. As she got dressed and rushed to the door to greet her unsuspecting boyfriend, Steven frantically searched for a hiding spot.

Honey, you home early what a surprise. Yeah baby business was slow today so they had everybody clock out early to save money. Hey baby are my house shoes in the back bedroom?  But before Steven could find a place to cower, her boyfriend had already started to enter the bedroom. She stepped in front of him and said baby before you go in the room you didn’t give me hug or kiss.

Shock and horror overtook Steven as he watched the door slowly open to reveal her boyfriend. Steven was trapped.

With no time to waste, Steven quickly made a break for the window. It was only on the second floor, but he knew he had no other choice.

Adrenaline pumping, Steven flung open the window and jumped. His heart pounding as he crashed to the ground below, Steven laid there for a moment, stunned. Damn baby good thing the window was open cause it has a smell in here you need to put one of those scented candle in here that you brought from the store yesterday.

As Steven gathered himself and tried to make sense of what had just happened, he couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of it all.

He had just risked life and limb for a forbidden affair. But as Steven limped away from the apartment building, bruised and battered, he knew that the thrill of the unknown was not worth every scrape and bruise.
