Part One: "Whispers in the Wind"

Man worrying-Part One: "Whispers in the Wind"

James came home from work and noticed his wife wasn’t there so he called her on the phone but the phone went to voicemail. Time had passed its 12:45 a.m. and his wife is still isn’t home James is starting to worry.

James grabbed the keys to his car and drove to the other side of town where his wife's parents lived. It had been months since he seen his in-laws, and he wanted to see if his wife was over there. When he arrived at the house, he rang the doorbell and waited patiently.

After a few minutes, the door opened and his mother-in-law greeted him with a warm smile. "Hello, James," she said. "It's been a long time."

James smiled back, relieved to see her again. "Hello, Mrs. Collins," he said. "Is Jenny here?"

His mother-in-law hesitated before replying. Come in and take a seat "James, I'm afraid I have some bad news. I shouldn’t be the one to tell you this so I’m just going to tell it to you like it was told to me. Jenny has moved on without you."

James felt his heart drop. "What do you mean?" he asked, his voice shaking.

"She's said that she was tired and wanted to start a new life, " Mrs. Collins explained gently. "She's found someone else."

James felt a mix of anger and sadness wash over him. "But she promised me we would work things out," I guess that was a lie. Telling me that "She loves me."

"I know, James," Mrs. Collins said, patting him on his back. "But sometimes love just isn't enough." Sorry James.

As he drove home that night, James couldn't stop thinking about what his mother-in-law had said. He couldn't believe that his wife had moved on without him. He had always believed that they were meant to be together forever.

But as he thought about it more, he realized that their relationship wasn’t post to end like that. But maybe he needed to move on too, and find someone who truly loved him for who he was.

And so, with a heavy heart, James let go of his past and looked to the future. He didn't know what was in store for him, but he knew that he had to call her and see the real reason why she didn’t want to be with him anymore, before he moved on with his life. James calls his wife.
