A Bizarre Twist on Catherine St.

Once, a middle-aged man named Arnold embarked on a sentimental journey of revamping his childhood home. Located in the outskirts of the city in good old Louisiana, the wooden, rustic house had witnessed the joys, tears, laughter, and dreams of generations. Empty for years after his parental passing, Arnold, decided to infuse life into the childhood home, rather than letting it decay under the mercy of time.

Arnold took some the inheritance and hired a contractor for house renovations. Arnold watched as the renovation team worked diligently for months, hammering nails, brushing paint, and rearranging antique furniture. Slowly but steadily, the deserted dwelling started humming a tune of rebirth. When all was fixed and brand new, Arnold put up a To be rented sign in front the yard and AD in the newspaper, envisioning a happy family embracing this home with the same affection he had for it.

After a few days, a young couple, Jason and Samantha, stumbled upon the sign. Entranced by the vintage charm of the house, they requested for Arnold to show them around and possibly being the first tenants to rent the house. Arnold gladly agreed, sharing the tale of his youth with them.

Jason, an up incoming entrepreneur, and Samantha, an ambitious writer, both investors moved in. Their youthful dreams added to the glow of the restored house. Things seemed perfect until one chilling incident tainted this picture-perfect setting.

Late one evening, Jason was stuck in traffic as Samantha was alone at home, she had just finishing up a shower and was in her bedroom putting on clothes. That’s when she started having this strange feeling that she was being watched and she turned around and noticed a slight movement through the gap of her window curtain, which had her pause. Peeking through, she was shocked to see Arnold, shamelessly watching her while licking his chops.

Peeping man-A Bizarre Twist on Catherine St.

Samantha confronted him furiously, What the hell, Mr. Arnold?! What are you doing, you dirty old man?!

Nonplussed, Arnold grunted, I don’t care how good you looking. Where's my rent money?

Samantha screams out “it’s not even the first of the month Mr. Arnold”.

Enraged, Samantha didn't waste a moment. She whipped out her cell phone, dialed the local police, and while she waited for them to pick up, she shouted at her intrusive landlord, I’m calling the police on you and my husband, Mr. Arnold. You're a filthy creep!

Simultaneously, she called Jason and informed him about the strange presence outside their window.

Samantha: Jason, Jason I need to tell you something you I just caught the landlord Mr. Arnold peeping through our bedroom window looking at me licking his lips. Ugh gross.

Jason: Wait…What! The landlord peeping through the window licking his lips did you have on clothes?

Samantha: No I was in the process of putting my clothes on. I’m about to call the police on him.

Jason: The police better make it there before I do because Imma kill him!

911: How can I help you?

Samantha: Help I need the Police? My just saw my landlord peeping through my window while I was putting my clothes on! Help!

911: Yes we’re sending a car out now stay on the line please ma’am until the police arrive is he still there ma’am?

Samantha: No he’s not here.

Soon, the police were at the house, flashlights piercing through the ominous darkness. To Samantha's shock, the mysterious peeper Mr. Arnold, who sheepishly justified his invasion, I don’t care who you call or how good you look. You better tell them to have my rent money when they get here?

An uneventful landlord-tenant tiff escalated into a spectacle that day, making this ordinary house the talk of the town, and reinforcing the belief - ordinary life has its bizarre twist of tales to offer. Arnold, though regretting his awkward stunt, had to endure the glare of public humiliation and impending legal action and suffer the consequences for peeping through the window for the rent money that was not due. As for Jason and Samantha, it was an unexpected glitch in their quiet life but served as a spicy story for the folks in their social circles. And so, the house with its mix of old and new residents continued its tale.
