Michael sighed as he opened the office refrigerator, already knowing what he'd find. For four years, he'd faithfully packed his lunch every morning. But lately, something seemed off.
It started out small. Michael would pack an apple for lunch and would it come up missing, they even had the guts to take a few bites out of his sandwich. Michael had brushed it off as forgetfulness or perhaps a mistake.
But as weeks passed, the same thing problem grew. Sometimes, he'd open his lunchbox to find nothing there, any other time times they would just go through it and pick whatever they like.
Today, when he walked to the office refrigerator he opened it and he stared at the empty container where he had his famous handmade chicken salad stored in. Frustration was setting in and he was at his tipping point. He'd complained to HR, spoken with his manager and coworkers, even tried leaving notes on his lunch bag. Nothing worked.
The refrigerator thief knew exactly when to strike, avoiding detection by both office staff and warehouse workers. Michael's colleagues were sympathetic but helpless. Some suggested setting traps, others proposed stakeouts. Yet the culprit remained elusive.
As Michael stood in front of the fridge, stomach growling, he realized this couldn't let this go on any further. He needed to take matters into his own hands. With determination in his eyes, he closed the refrigerator door and headed back to the warehouse. It was time to come up with a plan.
To be continued...
I can't wait to see what he would do and if the person will be caught.
