The Refrigerator Raider 2

Man sitting at his desk disguised

The next morning, Michael arrived at work with a little sparkle in his eye. His lunchbox was heavier than usual. Inside, he had the usual turkey sandwich, apple, orange, and a bag of chips, with his most prize possession his homemade brownie with caramel filling and pecan topping was a for sure grabber and also the secret weapon.

Michael had spent the day after work baking and carefully previous evening baking, carefully mixing in a potent dose of laxatives. He felt like this was the right decision and something had to be done as he placed his lunchbox in the fridge.

Throughout the morning, Michael couldn’t focus on his work from trying to keep eye on the break room door, hoping he would see you goes in and out of there before lunch. By lunchtime, the office was quiet as usual. Michael walked into the break room and approached the fridge, expecting his lunch to be gone.

To his surprise he found his lunchbox exactly the way he left it, minus the brownie. Now, only time will tell who the refrigerator raider is.

As the afternoon went on, Michael kept hearing the restroom door open and closing. Then he started overhearing his co workers whispering to each other about Ted. He overheard fragments of conversations:

"Must've been something he ate..."

“He sneezed and passed gas and walked to the bathroom backwards”

"...whatever you do don’t go in the restroom Ted is on the toilet and it’s stinks!..."

Just then, Ted from Human Resources stumbled past Michael's desk holding his stomach and his buttocks, looking pale and distressed. Michael's eyes widened as he noticed a brown wet stain he was trying to cover with his hand. “So it was Ted the new guy in Human Resources all along”. Michael thought to himself.

It was a sign of relief that washed over Michael. He'd solved the mystery of the Refrigerator Raider, but at what cost? As the office tries to figure out what’s wrong with Ted, Michael realized this was far from over.
