The Nail Trick (Part 2)

 The next morning,

A rusty nail in a wood wall

Jasmine: "Hey, where's my bra you used when we went to the club?"

Maya: (sighed), "You're not going to believe this, umm... it's hanging on Pepper's bedroom wall."

Jasmine: "Girl, what?!"

Maya: "After the club, you were sleeping and it sounded like a car door close and I didn’t want to wake you up. So I went out and checked and saw it was Pepper. We talked for a minute he invited me over and I... well, I accepted his invitation."

Jasmine: "So how did my bra end up on his wall?"

Maya shifted uncomfortably.

Jasmine: "I’m listening?"

Jasmine repeated, looking at Maya wanting on her response.

Maya:  "Well, you see, we were talking and sipping and I got a little tipsy, and it was warm and took my shirt off.

Jasmine: “Took your shirt off?! Oh my god.

Maya: “Then one thing led to another and... then he unhooked my bra and threw it against the wall". "That's how your bra ended up on the wall." Plus nothing happened I fell asleep.

Jasmine's face darkened.

Jasmine: "I told you to stay away from him!"

Maya: "What's your problem with him anyway?"

The few people walking past them in the street started to slow down, hoping for some morning drama.

Jasmine: "He's a DOG!" And you fell for it!

But right when Maya was about tell Jasmine how she really feels something clicked and Maya pause. She looked at her friend's face – the way she was blushing, she couldn’t look Maya in her eyes.

Maya: “Mmm, Mmm, Mmm!”

A slow, knowing smile came across Maya's face.

Maya: "Wait a minute... I think I know what this is really about?”

Jasmine: “What?!”

Maya: You know I know you and that look on your face right now you like him uhh? Now tell me I’m lying?

The look on Jasmine's face said everything her mouth couldn't.
