It wasn’t your typical Wednesday morning February fourth tenth two thousand twenty twenty three Valentine Day. When John, Pete, and Nick decided to hit the mall. Among the crowds of families, young couples holding hands with the young casual lonely shoppers, and small groups of beautiful women but one woman caught their attention.
There she was. This astonishing, dazzling lady. A vision in red, elegantly striding towards our way, her walk was hypnotizing. This woman was so beautiful she made the mannequins in the nearby window jealous. At least that's how John saw her.
Oh my god! Do you guys see her, ? John said, awestruck by her beauty. He looked back at Pete and Nick. They both had smirk on their faces giving him the ok nods. He turns around and looks at her in her eyes and he thinking they have locked eyes.
He turned to his friends with wide eyes. I think she's the one! I felt a connection. I think it's love at first sight!
In their usual friendly manner, Pete smirked and Nick laughed. Yet, spurred by their shared youthful recklessness, they encouraged him to go ahead.
Driven by his all of sudden confidence, or possibly his friends’ chanting him on, John straightened himself up a bit and strolled towards the beautiful woman. The world around him disappeared into a blur, and the only things that existed were him, the woman, and his racing heart.
Excuse me, he started, his voice wobble at first, I know it might sound silly but, did we just share a moment of love at first sight? He cringed a bit inwardly at the cheesiness, but her giggle set his nerves at ease.
Her bright laughter echoed, surprising John. She was laughing so hard she wiped a tear from the corner of her eye before giving him a cheeky smile. I'm sorry. That's really sweet and all, but no. John felt a sinking sensation but she continued, It wasn't love at first sight with you. But with that dress in the window? Definitely.
