Carlos worked in the hotel as the houseman and no one ever seemed to notice him. He wasn’t that remarkable but he was smart and cunning. Every day the housekeepers would go around the hotel, cleaning up the rooms and the hallways. Carlos always followed close behind and took their tips before going in the rooms before them. It was the perfect crime, one no one seemed to notice.
The housekeepers always had such large amounts of tips that Carlos thought it wouldn’t make a difference if he took some here and there. He quickly grew a collection of small amounts that added up over time. A month had passed by the housekeepers had started to noticing that their was no tips from the guests after the hotel being sold out every other night.
The housekeepers were starting to get suspicious about hotel being sold out and they were getting tips in the past. One of the housekeepers was brave enough to approach the manager with what’s been recently going on with the missing tips. Unfortunately, the manager didn’t know what to tell them and the mystery of the disappearing tips was still unresolved. It seemed as though no one could figure out where the tips were going or who was taking them.
To this day, it remains a mystery as to what happened to the tips and Carlos still takes advantage of the lack of knowledge and on good days Carlos provides lunch for all the employees.
