Shimmering in Aluminum A paranoid veteran

About a veteran scared of the government title- Shimmering in Aluminum: A paranoid veteran

A paranoid veteran

Clarence was a homeless veteran from the military who decided to stay at a local hotel for a couple of nights. Everything seemed normal at the time of checkout. However, no answer came from his room when the manager called to confirm if he was ready to leave.

At this point, maintenance was called in to open the door. But when they got to the room, they found it had been barricaded from the inside. With their utmost confusion, the manager decided to call the police to help them gain entry.

The police came immediately and without wasting time, broke down the door. What they found was bizarre, yet concerning. There was Clarence, completely naked and covered his head in aluminum foil, even his cell phone was wrapped in aluminum foil. He was crouching in the shower, repeating, "the government hears and sees you". In his other hand he had a cell phone, which he held and stated "Cell phones are the worst".

At the sight of this, the police took Clarence in for questioning and brought him to the nearest hospital for treatment. After multiple visits to mental health specialists, he eventually found solace in medication and therapy. It turned out he had some mental trauma from his service in the military that was too strong for him to cope with. With the right help and medication, he was able to heal and lead a better life.
