"The Aftermath of Being Rude - When a Punch in the Eye Follows!"

When a Punch in the Eye Follows!

Daniel worked at the hotel for three years now, he was an excellent employee, never one to break any of the rules, always a stickler for following protocol and guidelines. So, when a guest asked him for help at the snack machine, Daniel was more than happy to assist. That's when things went wrong.

The guest had been quite irate, already upset with the snack machine taking his money before Daniel had arrived at the snack machine so when Daniel said "WOW, she got junk in the trunk” he had been referring to the lady that had pass by them and she said something to the man at the snack machine. What Daniel didn’t no that it was her husband that he was helping, and soon as Daniel turned around, POW the husband had landed a punch square in Daniel's eye for saying that towards his wife.

Tears began streaming from his face as he stumbled his way to the office, slobbering and crying. Everyone who saw him was shocked by the sight, never expecting such a kind, soft spoken boy to find himself in this sort of mess.

After collapsing onto a couch in the office, Daniel reached for his phone. He called the police and then, when he remembered what had just happened, he also called his mother. Soon enough both had arrived, the police took a statement and then Daniel asked his mother could she take the trash to the dumpster cause he was afraid that the guy who had punched him was hiding behind the dumpster, just waiting to get a hold of him.

Once the whole mess had been settled, Daniel thanked both the police and his mother, sending them on their way before clocking out and going home he was taking a few extra days off to fully recover.

Though shaken, and in some pain, Daniel was happy that it had all worked out, the whole situation reminding him of why he liked working in the hotel industry so much; It's filled with unexpected twists and turns and with friendly guests.
